About the Lodge: The first meeting of King Edward lodge was originally held at The Black Knights of Ireland hall of the Orange Order.

On June 1st 1904, the lodge received the privilege of electric lights.

June 27th 1904 the lodge was consecrated and the first offices were installed.

In September of 1904 a "Book of Sacred Law" was purchased for the sum of $8; this book is still used in the lodge today.

March 8th, 1929; the first meeting was held at the lodges current location, being rennovated from a property purchased from the Presbyterian Church.

In 1952, W. Bro. Stanley McLeoed was installed in the East, and had the distinct privilege of having his six sons summarily seated in the officers chairs.

In 1954 the Order of the Eastern Star was invited to conduct their ceremonies in the banquet hall in exchange for a contribution to the expenses; a relationship we enjoy to this day.

In 2004, King Edward Lodge celebrated its centennial anniversary under the guidance of W.M. Gordon Clark.
